What's the minimum auto insurance required in Missouri?
Missouri requires liability coverage of at least 25/50/25 — that is, $25,000 for injuries per person, $50,000 total per accident, and $25,000 for property damage. Missouri also requires uninsured motorist coverage at the same 25/50 limits. These are legal minimums, not what most drivers actually need — we typically recommend higher limits for anyone with assets to protect.
Does homeowners insurance cover tornado damage?
Yes. Wind damage — including tornadoes — is a covered peril under a standard home policy. Hail is covered too. What's not covered is flooding, which often comes alongside severe storms. If you're in a flood-prone area, you need a separate flood policy.
How much life insurance do I need?
A common rule of thumb is 10–12 times your annual income, but the right answer depends on your debts (mortgage, student loans), how many dependents you have, and what lifestyle you want them to maintain. Our life specialist walks through your full picture in the consultation.
What insurance does my small business legally need?
Missouri requires workers' compensation for most businesses with five or more employees (one or more in construction). Commercial auto is required if your business owns or operates vehicles. General liability isn't legally required but is effectively necessary for any business with customers, clients, or contractors on premises. We walk through your actual operations to map what's required vs. what's smart.
How does the claims process work?
Call our office first, before you call the carrier. Our in-agency claims team helps document the damage, file the claim, and advocate for you if the initial offer doesn't match what you're owed. Having a local agent in the loop means faster, cleaner claims.
How can I lower my auto insurance premium?
The biggest levers are raising your deductible, bundling auto with home, maintaining a clean driving record, and enrolling in a safe-driver telematics program. We do annual policy reviews to catch cases where your rate drifted up or your coverage no longer matches your life.
